After an impressive showing against Sweden in their World Cup opener game Trinidad and Tobago can ill afford the luxury of complacency or cockiness against England. If the team is not mentally prepared the warriors will be in for a rude awakening as was the unfortunate faith of the Reggae Boyz at Old Trafford over a week ago. The warriors earned a level of respect from their impressive 0-0 short handed tie against Sweden and that respect can be attributed solely to their defensive capabilities although their occasional offensive trust was helpful in keeping Swedens defense honest, but the Sweden game was all about the warriors tenacity and defensive determination.  Coach Beenhakker would also be asking to much of the Trinidad and Tobago Soca Warriors if he employs the one striker formation with only Stern John up front in the game against England. If that system is implemented the warriors would hard press to shut out England`s high powered offense after such a physical and mental strain from the Sweden game. A shut out remotely possible but that could only be accomplished if coach Beenhakker start two legitimate strikers to avoid Stern John backing defenders through out an entire World Cup game which limits his ability and vision to the goal.
Stern John is opportunistic and can get hot and score in bunches, but this is the World Cup where the best rounded players are usually positioned in the central areas of the field..

On June 15 at Nuremberg Stadium it is very unlikely the warriors will shutout England and unlike the Sweden game the warriors will have to generate more sustain offensive drives by utilizing more ball possession that will consume time of the clock and improve their field territorial advantage.
